EURO 2012 - Warszawa

According to information gathered by PwC, key investment projects to be implemented in Warszawa are a.o.:
  • Construction of a National Stadium for 55,000 spectators at a cost of approx PLN 1bn


  • Reconstruction of the stadium used by Legia Warszawa football club


  • Construction of a second terminal at Fryderyk Chopin Airport


  • Rail connection between the airport and the city centre


  • Completion of the first underground line linking the North and South of the city


  • Construction of a second underground line, linking the East and West of the city with a stop at the National Stadium,


  • Construction of a fast tram line, connecting the Centre with the North-Eastern part of the city,


  • Tram connection between the Eastern districts of the metropolitan area (Grodzisk Mazowiecki) and its South-Eastern extremities (Otwock)


  • Construction of the city ringroad, forming part of the North-South and East-West motorways,


  • Construction of S8 dual carriageway, connecting Wrocław and Warszawa. Project cost – in excess of EUR 2bn,


  • Construction of S17 dual carriageway through Lublin to Hrebenne (border crossing with Ukraine),


  • Construction of two new bridges spanning the Vistula River: the Northern Bridge, and the bridge connecting Żoliborz and Praga


  • Hotel infrastructure investment
